At the start of the year, Aiki Flinthart – a much loved member of the Australian speculative fiction community – lost her battle with cancer.
To honour her memory and her legacy, we have created STORIES OF SURVIVAL, a charity anthology, with all proceeds going to a charity she nominated, the Melanoma Institute of Australia.
While the anthology was inspired by Aiki’s battle, Cancer has touched the lives of far too many of us. Many of the authors included have dedicated their story to a loved one who has fought or is still fighting cancer, and it is our hope that this collection (or at least the money it raises) can make a difference.
The anthology is available now in ebook format and in paperback.
Writers, editors and cover designers from all over Australia and New Zealand gave their time to help get this collection together and acknowledge the impact Aiki Flinthart had on us all. The authors featured in this anthology include Kylie Fennell, Louise Zedda-Sampson, Pamela Jeffs, Monique McLellan, Nikky Lee, Tim Borella, Leanbh Pearson, Jade Wildy, Claire Fitzpatrick, Lisa Rodrigues, Kaybee Pearson, Brianna Bullen, Tansy Rayner-Roberts, Kirstie Nicholson and Aiki Flinthart.
